Frequently Asked Questions

1. What does this calculator measure?

It estimates how much spine-related symptoms affect daily activities. It summarizes ten scored areas into a total percentage and severity band.

2. Is this a medical diagnosis?

No. It is a structured tracking tool. Clinical diagnosis and treatment decisions should come from a qualified medical professional.

3. What do the 0 to 5 scores mean?

Lower scores mean less limitation. Higher scores show stronger functional impact in that section.

4. Why compare with a previous index?

Comparison helps show improvement, stability, or worsening over time. That makes follow-up reviews easier to interpret.

5. Can this be used in rehabilitation tracking?

Yes. It is useful for repeated functional reviews, especially when the same scoring approach is used consistently.

6. What does a higher percentage mean?

A higher percentage reflects greater functional limitation across the scored sections. It suggests stronger daily life impact.

7. Why are all sections required here?

This version uses a fixed ten-section method for consistent scoring, comparison, exports, and chart generation.

8. What export options are included?

You can download the result summary and section scores as CSV or generate a clean PDF report from the page.
